Tales From the Trip
Part 1

Lorenzo's Cafe
Enderby, British Columbia

Friday & Saturday, September 25 & 26, 2003

We rolled into Enderby, B.C. and were delighted to find a beautiful, huge old schoolhouse nestled in the woods just off highway 97A, East of Enderby on Mable Lake Road. We were greeted by a man walking around on the roof, turns out it was Lorne Costley, the owner. We love this guy! Very chilled out, good human bean with a creative vision that makes sense to us. Lorenzo's Cafe is all heart, a true labor of love. We get ya, Dude!!

Lorenzo's Cafe

Look at this place! It has got to be the funkiest
room we've ever played!
This section used to be a one room schoolhouse

"bowl" room
Yep, bowling pins for spindles! You should see the floor! It's made up out of wooden bowling lanes taken from a torn down bowling alley! So cool!

CD Winner
Brandy and Ken were enjoying their dinner at Lorenzo's when lo and behold, Ken had the winning ticket for
our CD draw!

gorgeous handpainted rose table
I was so smitten with this little corner of Lorenzo's, where we ate dinner on Saturday night. Hard to tell here, but this table has a giant hand painted rose with leaves on it. Just gorgeous!

Lorne singing Route 66
On the second night, Lorne treated us to a show.
Here he's singing Route 66

This was a freeing feeling, who knew we were swingers ;-) This school playground is next door to Lorenzo's and we had some fun Saturday morning. There's other pictures but we can't show you those ;-)

And then it was off to Calgary. . . click
