| 7 a.m. Sunday we left the
sweet people and pace of Enderby and headed East to Calgary, towards our 8:30
show at The Ironwood. Beautiful sunny fall day through the Canadian Rockies,
how bad could it be? It was Gawgeous!! Sometimes I get panic attacks in the car, no lie, so we've long learned that I need a distraction for things to feel 'normal' again. So to prepare for a trip, I think about these things ahead of time. This time I was inspired! I brought along a smutty book to read aloud to 'my driver', my banjo, and a camera. (Now there's an image.) I would choose from these as the mood struck an we had a great time rollin' through the Rockies... |

 This is the club we played at, The Ironwood. Beautiful venue, we hope to play there again. And not to suck up or anything ;) but we'd like to thank Josh Marantz, who took a chance on us and booked us into the Ironwood. Also, thanks to Lynne Thorimbert, Dan the bartender, Keith the cook, and Greg the soundman. Everyone treated us really well and we had a great time! |

at left - These two lovable dudes, (l) Gord McDonald and (r) Greg Simmons drove all the way from Edmonton to see our show!!! *AND* Greg recorded us "Live At The Ironwood" with a Sony mini disc straight into the soundboard. We can't wait to get the recording! We love you, Man!! Next time, bring Stacy too!! |

in the Spring!! Thanks so much to my cousin Nicole and her husband Derek and kids Michael and Vanessa for letting us stay there and treating us like KINGS.
