I didn't intend for her to hold
anything more than a wand with a star on the end of it, but stepping back, I
saw that she seemed "ready" for something. She looks like my Aunt
Regina at this point, not that she dressed like that.

2.
Well she doesn't look like my Aunt
now! Not with that disco hairdo. When this little girl came out it made sense
to me. I thought, 'Oh good. She's taking her inner child out for a spin!'

Tried to doll up the hair but it
felt overboard and I started to notice that no amount of paint was making up
for the fact that her head was so high up there, haha.
|
4.
So......I painted over it in blue
and lowered it, made it significantly smaller so I shaved off some of her ample
bosom and generally repositioned her from the chest up, new face and
all. |

5.
Here I define the little girl and
I'm really starting to like her here, but it's starting to bug me that her arms
are so long while her legs are short. I ignore it but it nags at me while I
work on other things, adding faint pink flowers to the woman's
hair/hat. |

I paint swirls around them to
convey motion, and I use some black to make them lift off the page more.

7.
Well I can't take the little girl's
legs in proportion to her arms, so I "fix" them by painting over in
blue then extending them along with the skirt, which is now green. Not really
an executive decision, rather the work of a dirty brush, haha. But I like it,
it adds 'body'. The position of her foot bugs me though, so I tweak
it.... |

There. That's it. I really like it
now :)
