'IN THE AIR'

'In The Air' is a 10" x 12" acrylic on canvas board

1. It was a beautifuI day, and I decided to paint in the back yard, something I just love doing. I had no pre-conceived notion and just started painting the first thing that popped into my head, as usual.	2. Still, just painting, lalala.
3. I take the light blue behind the one girl and fill the upper part of the canvas with it. It occurs to me they could be floating/dancing on a heart so I paint the top of one onto the orange "ground" and darker blue around them.	4. I'm starting to think 'healing' and 'growth' so I paint leaves.
5. Then a bug lands on my painting, and his (her?) wings inspire me.	6. The ladies grow wings and it seems that they love them. ;)
7. I lose all the hearts when I decide NAH and paint the background blue, change their outfits, tweak their wings, define them more, and give one a bouquet.	8. Then flowers start appearing and at this point, I'm painting quickly and purposefully.
9. I fill in the canvas with more flowers and I suddenly notice that the space their arms make, is a heart. . .	10. . . . so I paint one in and I am suddenly 10 times more charmed by this little scene that is developing. I add green for a mossy feel at the bottom.
12. Here, they get faces and little heart shoes, and hearts fill the air. Click on it :)
