1.
I had a vision in my head of where
I was going with this, so I just started slappin' the paint on :)

2.
As I continued, my perspective
changed, and I added a road and faintly outlined some cars, quickly using a dry
brush in the wet-but-fast-drying acrylic paint. Loosely sketched out some
buildings, nothing fancy.

3.
Starting to paint a "wet" feel on the road, and add
cars and headlights. Shading in one side of the street, starting with green
buildings. That side also gets a couple street lamps.

4.
This is a simple and loose
painting, and I had fun adding a blur of paint to show the wet
road.
|
5.
Here I detail an awning and the
street lamp, and add more rain and color, and make the headlights more
pronounced.

In the final version, the other side of the street is filled
out, and looking closely, you can see pedestrians hurrying along under a red
umbrella. More street lamps show the rain really coming down. The curbs look
wetter and the windshield wipers are wokin' overtime. Click on it :)
