Nature Comes To Light Richmond Nature Park Dec. 13, 2004 This was so much fun! Big thanks to Cherelle Jardine for inviting us to perform! And to Maury for all his help! It was a rainy Monday so attendance was down, but as we are fond of saying . . . all the important people were there! There was a troupe of Brownies who were so cute! I was thinking of giving away a cd to the bravest one who would dance, but caught myself in time in case they ALL danced, haha, but they were too shy in the end! The covered stage was outdoors, and faced the Christmas lights on all the trees. I sincerely wish my camera could capture more than a blur of lights, as it was something to see. It's on until Dec.30, you may want to check it out, it's great for kids of all ages, puts ya in a Christmas mood, alright. We were so happy to see our friends Maggie and Brian show up! Yay!! We all shared so many laughs and big thanks to Brian Beesley for taking pictures, we so appreciate that! The first three are with my little good for nuttin' camera and the rest are with his pro camera...thanks, Brian :-) I was about 3 lines from finishing I Lose Myself, and Steve's cell phone rings!! He forgot to remove it from its home on his right hip . . . and the ringing affected the generator or SOMETHING and the billions of little xmas lights in the big tree in front of us started flicking off and on and the noise from the amp was all Ennnnnnnnnnnnh every time it rang. We finished the song . . . sorta . . . just looking at each other all confused, and when the the last chord was finally strummed, he picked up the call!! "YELL-o! . . . "Hey man, good... I'm at a gig... yeah... I'm on stage right now... " |
