new!
We'll be performing at the Harmony Arts Festival
in West Vancouver on Saturday, August 7 at 2 pm!
This is a family festival with a craft fair & music & sunshine! Come on down!

newsflash
Yay! We just got booked for the Caper's Living Natually Fair!
We will perform a 45 minute set on Sunday September 12 at 2:15 p.m.
Starting the day before, this weekend-long wellness & organic fair
will take over the parking lot of the Robson Street Caper's Store,
filling it with a diverse group of organic farmers, food producers,
vitamin and nutritional experts, etc. and of course, live music!
To date, Capers has raised more than $185,000 for local non-profit groups!

It's a family fun thing to do, with music all afternoon both days.
We really enjoyed doing this gig a couple years ago so we're
really excited to have been invited back!

What a way to start a weekend! We can hardly believe how many old friends we've been seeing lately! It's great!!

We had an absolute riot at The Cottage Bistro on Friday, June 18... So many of our friends showed up, and we met awesome new folks as well. Here, see for yourself! :-)

On Friday June 11, we were at the Roadhouse Eatery in White Rock (S.Surrey) and we were thrilled to see one dear friend after another walk into the place! It was just wonderful...... read all about it and see the pics here

Then, on Sunday, June 13th, we enjoyed a gig at More Crumbs Bakery Cafe, Tim and Marie Sarsfield's 2nd location in Maple Ridge. It was great to see our friend David again, and nice to meet his daughter, Sally. We met some real nice folks at this show (Hello to Penny & Craig!) and look forward to seeing them again down the road!

Straight from this afternoon gig we went to the Whalley Legion to attend Rick Sims' 10 year memorial jam. There was a plethora (ooh 10 point word) of old friends who we were thrilled to see again, and some wonderful new folks who we definitely hope to see again (Hello Gary & Cindy) Here, take a look...

Oh, hey guess what? I just no sooner finished typing this, and the phone rang. It was Ernie Higgins, booking us into more shows! Thanks, Dude. More Crumbs on Sat July 10 & Sun Aug 1st. Check the gigs page for times, because they differ there from Saturday to Sunday.

We had some kinda fun on Saturday, June 5th! We performed at the Main Days Street Festival, a day long party at Main & 28th. The stage was in front of Solly's Bagels, and there lots of music throughout the afternoon! Thanks to all our friends for coming out to see us!

Friday, May 28th found us singing in the rain! We performed at the Canadian Cancer Foundation's Relay for Life event in Stanley Park. There wasn't room for another raindrop, it was comin' down like we haven't seen in a long time, complete with a little lightning, which for Vancouver is rare.

Course, while damp, we were relatively toasty on stage compared to the troopers in all the tents that filled the park. Starting at 7 pm and going all night long until 7 am, there were folks walking and running around Brockton Oval, in honor of loved ones who died of cancer, alongside cancer survivors.

The candlelight vigil was put off due to the 'torrential' rains but the spirit of the occasion was definately not dampened. Our huge thanks to David Wils for inviting us to do this most beautiful and heartfelt event.

Sat May 29th, we played Crumbs Bakery Cafe in Maple Ridge in the afternoon and had a good time as always. We really enjoy this hopping little place, with its baking aromas and friendly faces. Thanks to owners Tim & Marie Sarsfield, and to Ernie Higgins for inviting us to play!

Then we were off to Langley for an evening show at the Langley Meadows Community Association. We played a set in the beer gardens to a great, enthusiastic crowd! It was starting to rain (wet weekend all around) and the tarps were starting to leak, which made for some comic relief. Well, we thought it was funny, anyway. ;-)
We met some great folks and one lovely woman, Elizabeth, took some photos which I will put here on the website. Stay tuned for that... and as always, it was wonderful to see musician Hank Dyke, pictured with Steve, below. Big thanks to his son, Cornel Dyke, for asking us out to perform! It was funnnnn!!

Whenever Country Star Terri Clark comes to town, we get a call and some backstage passes! This arises from having opened for her in Edmonton in 2000, when we befriended Greg Kaczor, her Guitarist and Road Manager.

So on May 20th, they were at the Agriplex in Cloverdale and we had such a great time!! Here's a couple shots from that:

We had a blast at the SOCAN bash! (SOCAN is the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada.) These folks always put on a great spread, in a fancy yet casual atmosphere...think creative types in a ballroom. What a great sense of connection we get from seeing everyone, making new friends & contacts. Just from chatting, we booked a gig for May 28 for the Cancer Foundation...thanks to David Wils...check gigs page for details.

Had so many laughs with Bill Buckingham, and we would have had such a great shot with him but it was blurry.

&^#@!!

Here it is anyway. We were a bit blurry ourselves! Ha! What fun! Good thing we have Billy as a friend, since we can't afford him as a producer! Bang Head Here!

Marsha, the sweetheart bartender at the ANAF #26 in Vancouver, has put our CD, Straight Up, into the jukebox! She's been playing our music so regularly that it now plays automatically in the Popular Selections! Thank you so much, Marsha, you ROCK!

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Happy Accident Magnets are coming to a store near *you* . . . er, I hope!
So far so good, I have magnets in 4 locations now! Bohemia Gallery and Miranda's Hat, both in Vancouver, and Starfire Gallery in Horeshoe Bay, just outside the city.

The latest news is that now, my magnets, which are of my original paintings, are in Lilaea, just outside of Nashville Tennessee. Big thanks to Sarah Fleming for taking a shine to my funny little art pieces and for promoting them at art shows around the States. This weekend they are being introduced in Atlanta, Georgia! I'm so excited!
