Music & More on Main

The last time we played the Trout Lake Farmer's Market, we were approached by a woman named Barbara Jackson, who told us she booked a regular Thursday evening show at the Little Mountain Neighbourhood House on Main & 24th in Vancouver.

The weekly show is called "Music & More on Main," and they have an open mic starting at 7 pm and a feature act from 8 - 9 or so, then more open mic until 10 pm.

Sounded good to us, so we booked in for Thursday, October 17th, and were delighted to find a beautifully decorated (Halloween theme) room with candles on every table, and fresh coffee and homemade treats on the counter.

We had a small but mighty audience, and it felt like an intimate little house concert. Everyone was very nice to us, and the room acoustics were so rich and warm that we barely needed mics.

There were some very sweet moments; an audience member had to wipe her tears away after hearing "I Lose Myself." (Sorry and er. . . thanks!) and we met some really good folks: Barbara, Cole, Georgie, Peter. . . these folks made the show worthwhile!
