**************

This past year saw us gettin' out there with a band,
and we loved every minute of it!
We love that people dance at our shows now that there is a rhythm section, and we love how our songs get fleshed out! We still enjoy working as a duo and sometimes trio,
but honestly, the band thing is an unmatched RUSH!!
We thank . . .
David Bridges, Ivan Duben, Bill Buckingham, Geoff Hicks, Darrell Mayes!
Not to mention the countless others with whom we shared a stage this past year.

We are really happy to have had the opportunity to work with
these guys, and we look forward to more, more, more!

Recent Shows. . .

What a fun time we had at
"MEET RUTHIE NIGHT"
at the Purple Crab!

Ruth and Lucie

Right after the gig, Ruthie & Lucie were off to a downtown hotel for 2 nights... just hangin' out, catchin' up, talkin' trash . . . then on Sunday afternoon rode the ferry to Victoria and stayed until Friday morning at our dear, dear friend Ann's! Then it was back to Vancouver for one more night at a hotel......we went for the in-room jacuzzi suite this time..... went all out...... had so many laughs, just ended the 10 days in high style!

Big thanks to

ACOUSTIC ECLECTIC FOLK ROCK DUO,
'DUX'!
Excellent harmonies, high-energy guitars, Dux - Mike & Gary - played everything from Lyle Lovett to Eric Clapton to dare we say... Britney Spears' "Oops..." it was the best version we've ever heard!

We raffled off so many items . . . tshirts, a cd, some of Lucie's art. . .
Woohoo!
Yeeeeehaaaa!

We had so much fun at the Richmond Nature Park!
They tell us attendance was down because it was a rainy Monday night, but it didn't stop us from sharing many laughs with those who braved the elements...
...see the pictures here

Many thanks to Cherelle Jardine & her husband Maury for booking us, and for all their support!

New Recording . . .

S anta brought us a recording microphone for Christmas and since we live with a brilliant sound engineer (Brian Campbell... did all the Powder Blues recordings back in the day) we have been having way too much fun in the livingroom! Recording! We just set up the mic and sing the songs "live" the way we would at a gig. Here's one called For You to Break My Heart, done "live off the floor."

It's our intention to invite some musician friends over to record together and have a great time!!

UPDATE
Well we did just that on Sunday, January 6 . . . We invited bassist Ronnie Hayward over for the afternoon and had a great time recording 4 more of our songs, yeeeeehaaaaaa! What fun!!

Some of you will know these by title . . . I Lose Myself, Country Mile,
I Believe in Love, and Flat Broke n' Hungry . . .

Movie News . . .

Last month, we reported a bit of good news . . .

Well, It just got better :)
We thought that two of our songs were
going to be in another movie . . . but as it turns out, it's three !
Yippeeee!
Chosen were:

Feel the Fires Rage
A Girl Would Have to Be a Fool
and
No Winner Takes All (Lucie's tune....weeeeeeeeeeee!)

The movie, about a California bank robbery, is called Rapid Fire.
That's all we know to date but will fill you in as soon as we know more :)

So far,

It's Everything to Me
A Girl Would Have to Be a Fool
and
The Truth is In Your Eyes

are all in the independent feature film,
Little Boy Blues

and

Take it As it Comes
The Truth is In Your Eyes
and Lucie's song, Outbound Train
(written for the movie, not on the CD)

are in the Malcolm McDowell Movie, The Barber

NewChoreography DVD. . .

Choreographer Michele Perron has contacted us about using our music for her new instructional DVD! Yay! Michele choreographed a country line dance to our song, Tumblin' Down

LEARN THE DANCE!

Michele has been teaching "Tumblin' Down" all over the place, and last year
we even saw it land in the U.K. compilation "Red Hot Dancing 2"
front cover, Red Hot Dancin' 2
Many thanks to
Michele, and to her husband, Brian Bull,
for their continued support with our music!
