"Tales From The Trip"
Rock Island House Concert, Monday, August 28
| The House Concert was held in a large
and gorgeous room with wooden foors and walls, a stone fireplace, beamed
ceiling, and best of all, 2 large West facing windows that drank in a
breath-taking view of the crashing waves of Lake Superior. This was the big
room at "Naturally Superior Adventures", a kayaking, canoeing, &
hiking resort run by David Wells. David said we could expect anywhere between 2
and 20 people (!) and cautioned us that the folks of Wawa were on their own
time. |

| Sound Check |
The concert was set for 7:30 and sure enough, 22 folks filed in at 8:pm. This concert turned out to be one of the highlights of our tour! We were so warmly received that we were humbled by the experience. Everyone was fabulous! One of the best "listening" audiences we've ever encountered.

Rockin' in Wawa
| During intermission, everyone gathered for
coffee and treats in the stone and wood kitchen, neighbors laughing and
catching up, while we signed the CDs we sold to just about everyone there! It
was a thrill at the end of the night to receive a standing ovation and encores!
No matter where this career takes us, we will never be "too big" to play another Rock Island House Concert! Thanks, David! |
