This was a cool gig, all the way around. The Chinese cook, Anna, heard us play last Sunday night at the Cottage Bistro's No Fences Jam, and approached us about singing at her sister's birthday party the next Tuesday, January 22. We readily agreed! So we were getting ready to play and Anna came up to us and asked for either guitar instrumentals, Latino, or Caribbean music, all of which her sister, a ball room dance teacher, loves. We told her that we only do our own Rockin' Country Blues originals.
It didn't seem to faze her at all, cause the next thing you know they were up and dancing to A Girl Would Have to Be a Fool, and a good night was had by all. I'm cheating with the photo, though, because once again I forgot the camera (!) and this was taken by my cousin Pauline's husband, Camille Boudreau, the week before at the Cottage Bistro on their visit to Vancouver. Thanks, Camille!
