We had a hell of a good time at the Cottage Bistro with a full band sound!
We were so happy to have Ivan Duben (James Rogers Band) on drums, David Bridges (formerly of Blackfeather) on bass, and (award-winning recording engineer and producer) Bill Buckingham on lead guitar!
We met Ivan at the Cottage during one of Yukon Slim's all star blues jams and we were hooked! Turned out, he's a great guy and has got to be the most intuitive drummer we've ever played with! (Can we keep you, Ivan?) I mean, we've never rehearsed together, this is our 2nd gig, and his drumming just knocks us over!
David Bridges is one of our best friends and we love him, simple as that. We started playing with our token Texas Vegetable ;-) a couple years ago, and we've gotta tell ya, we have had a million laughs with Davie!! Formerly of Vancouver groups Lotus and Blackfeather, we're always glad to have him join us on stage!
Bill Buckingham has been Lucie's friend since the 80's and Steve's friend since the 90's. Billy & Lucie have recorded together over the years, even winning a songwriting contest on a co-write in 1998! Oh and do you remember that "Dueck, Dueck on Marine" radio jingle? Tom Lavin and Billy wrote that and Tom and I sang it. Huh, the things I fill your head with. Ha!
